Praise be Jesus Christ. Praise His Holy Name, now and forever! He who was, who is, and who always will be! Praise Him for His Goodness and Mercy, Love and Justice. Praise Him always.
Thank you, Lord, for Your Faithfulness. Thank You for Your Constancy. Thank You that You are the same today than You were yesterday and will be tomorrow.
Forgive me, Lord, those times of indifference, harshness, selfishness, and blindness to Your hand in EVERYTHING. Forgive me, Lord, for my forgetfulness and short-sightedness. Forgive me, Lord, for any participation in failing to give You honor and glory or bearing witness to You and Your holiness.
This past week for my watch day, the day I set aside every week to pray and listen, I was able to spend some time in nature alone quietly observing and pondering lots of things. I mostly pondered how backward this world seems to me sometimes, especially how right seems wrong and wrong seems right. Then, God seemed to open my eyes to my surroundings. I realized nothing has changed. A tree is still a tree. Leaves still fall in autumn. Winter comes every year. Birds still fly, and God is still God. God is still God. GOD IS STILL GOD!
That is the second time in the past year or two that I have sensed those words so clearly. I need the reminder often because I am hard headed and forgetful and fall into doubt and despair. He always reminds me who He is!
He is the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Gate, the Door, the Key…HE IS!
Thank you, Lord, for years of sharing these praise reports and prompting me every month to be obedient to Your nudging to listen and share.
