Parents are responsible for their children's education.

(Catechism of the Catholic Church #2223-2226) The Duties of Family Members

Education in the faith by the parents should begin in the child’s earliest years. This already happens when family members help one another to grow in faith by the witness of a Christian life in keeping with the Gospel. Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God. The parish is the Eucharistic community and the heart of the liturgical life of Christian families; it is a privileged place for the catechesis of children and parents.

We recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children; thus, they are enabled in our family process to teach their children the basic prayers and formation in their faith.

In keeping with the Archdiocesan Policy, children preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation must have a minimum of 1 year of previous religious education, “faith at home”.

Faith at Home

Faith at Home

Last year, first-year families followed the new Faith at Home curriculum. Even though we have a lot to grow in, we are very happy that our families have completed the year and are now practicing their faith and following a new way of life.
