Disasters such as hurricanes, floods and other storms occur in the area and can be devastating.  This committee provides for a coordinated effort for the parish among Diocesan offices, Catholic Charities, other nearby parishes, county, state and federal emergency authorities, the American Red Cross and other organizations responding to human needs. Collaboration is essential to maximize resources, minimize duplication of services and avoid gaps in service delivery, and to ensure that those persons most in need receive assistance. The parish office is always in need of volunteers to file, make copies, answer the phone and help with many other tasks.

Sacred Heart’s Maintenance Committee is an integral part of keeping the campus safe and in proper order. There are many opportunities to help the committee. Individuals can volunteer any weekday during regular office hours or watch for opportunities during our Service Days. We are also looking for individuals that might be interested in a leadership role on the Maintenance Committee.

Sacred Heart’s Pastoral Council (PPC) is responsible for advising the Pastor on the pastoral care and spiritual needs and development of the entire parish family. This council is charged with the responsibility of assisting the Pastor in the development, implementation and evaluation of a Parish 3 to 5 Year Plan. The PPC communicates the parish goals to the Parish’s Finance Advisory Board (FAB) to ensure FAB has allocated adequate funding to support these goals.
