Anointing of the Sick
“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
– James 5:14-15
Clergy Request
If you are seriously ill, homebound, in the hospital or having serious surgery please contact the Parish office at (936) 756-8186 to schedule a time to be anointed.
Visitation
Pastoral Visitation is about providing a deep, compassionate presence to anyone who has a deep need for someone to stand with them in a time darkness, pain, and isolation. We hear other’s stories and share their struggles and their joys. We manifest Christ in our encounters, bringing the Christ-light through patience and quiet. In our ministry to the sick, aged and infirm we continue the healing ministry of the Church.
