One morning this month, I kissed hubby goodbye and told him that I would go back to bed because I was feeling very run down.
Ha! I planned and God laughed.
For this school year, I have been feeling God call me to put in the work to be available to others outside my immediate family – have coffee with the neighbor, really talk to other moms while the kids play, reconnect with old friends (because my baby is not quite a baby anymore – He’s reminding me).
As soon as I laid down and just found the right position for my planned hour nap before my own kids needed me- my phone rang. No one calls anymore, so you know it was important.
My sister in law called and really needed to talk for about an hour while she commuted to work!
And it just so happened she needed to talk through something I had just been reading about…God is amazing isn’t He!
After my conversation, it was too late for a nap – kids were up and chores and schoolwork needed to be supervised. But I opened my bible in between activities to 2 Corinthians 7:5 “our flesh had no rest”!
I just had to laugh – I’ve told God many times that I am His – why would I be so surprised that He’d take me up on my offer!
Praise and Thank God that He keeps giving me opportunities to prove my love for Him – despite how imperfect and limited it is. Praise Him for His wisdom and timing – complete and perfect even when I don’t understand.
I pray that God will keep you to your promises! I pray that you will be able to share of yourself with those around you so that His loving care will be made manifest to those who need it.
