Monica’s Praise Report 2/22/23

Thanks be to God! Praise His holy Name!  King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Glory to You! He is a good, good Father, the Savior, the Power on High, Almighty, Wonderful, Counselor! He has given so many blessings and graces and mercy!

A special thanks to God as we pack to travel to visit family. We have not seen any or hugged most for a while! That may be normal for some extended families, but we are spoiled; hardly ever going more than eight weeks or so between visits. I cannot wait to see my Godchildren and hug my sister and hold my momma’s hand. I cannot wait to sit next to my dad and watch him watch my kids play.  I love how God gathers us.

Recently,  God has allowed women to gather for prayer several nights this past month to cover the whole world in prayer and ask God’s forgiveness and beg for His mercy and for a revival of faith in the world – a true turning back to Him!  It has been beautiful and powerful!  Our world is suffering the consequences of sin, a tremendous Father wound (not knowing who He is and who we are in Him), and for many of us a Mother wound (feeling the sorrow of Holy Mother Church and some feeling abandoned and unprotected ). These realities revealed themselves as women on three continents gathered electronically to pray. God is so good!

God is also never allowing His laborers to get too comfortable either. Right before meeting in this way the first time, I could feel a “ping” from the Spirit to coordinate these watches regularly!  Not everyone will be able to join every time, but He is asking me- I believe- to facilitate these for a while each First Friday. Lord, grant me what I need to fulfill this request!

He has done that type of “ping” before. Several years ago, He “pinged” me to begin my periodic praise report. Many months I have thought, “Should I  continue? Is it time to stop?”  It never fails- HE NEVER FAILS- to place women in my path to give me a glimpse of how these reports get to people at just the right time during just the right circumstance. I want to thank those who have communicated this to me!  Because you followed the lead of the Spirit- I continue. It is not easy to look at a blank page on a regular basis – but He always shows up!

What has He “pinged” you to do as of late?  Someone may love to hear how He is working and moving in your life!  You will never know how your sharing impacts others.

Who do you say that I am?

Who do you say that I am?

He said to them, "but who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father." -...

The Prayers God Always Answers

The Prayers God Always Answers

The Choice of Stewardship

The Choice of Stewardship

What does it mean to be a good steward? Does it mean to be an active parishioner, or something more? Are we better stewards because we give more in terms of our money and time to our parish, or are we called to do even more than that? The truth is that stewardship is...

God and the Good Strong Wind
