Monica’s Praise Report 12/28/22

God is so good! He speaks to us, He allows miracles to happen every blessed day, He loves us – oh how He loves us. He loves us enough to discipline us, delight us in unexpected ways…He loves us enough to become human, suffer and die for us, resurrect for us, not abandon us! He left us Holy Mother Church and the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Sacraments, the reality of the Communion of Saints, and Himself present everywhere and fully in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Thank You God for it all!

Praise You God for Your Goodness, Mercy, Power, Love…You are worthy of every praise and thanks! You created us. You know us. You love us. You teach us!

Lord, I fall short in being totally Yours daily. I fall short in loving and living as You have called me. I fall short, yet You love me. You forgive me. You are my strength that allows me to try again each day. You are my hope and peace that the world does not understand. And, quite frankly, I don’t always understand – but I trust and wait, wait and trust- clinging to all You have given, remembering all You have done. And in remembering, I thank and praise!

When’s the last time you quieted your mind and soul and, in the midst of even your deepest sorrow, pain, or struggle, REMEMBERED all that God has done? It will lead to thanksgiving and praise! Set a reminder! Make it a habit! Start a journal – write it down- share it! Share it! You never know who needs to hear it. I am always blown away each time I share by who was touched or changed or blessed. I’m blown away because it’s not me- it’s Him!

Don’t deny others the gift of your story – because your story is God’s story! Your testimony, witness, struggles, life…it’s powerful! Imagine what Christianity would be, or not be, without the people of God sharing stories? It’s not a pride thing to share what God has done in your life – it’s a PRAISE and THANKSGIVING thing!

Yesterday, I was given a chance to be a part of a miracle! Quite ordinary by the world’s standard, yet I know it was the fruit of prayers by many people in my life, a gift from God, a glimpse of hope. It was simply a hug… unasked for, unexpected, out of the blue hug from a teenager. A teenager who is struggling with all the teenager stuff. A teenager who is questioning everything: school, parents, friendships …even God and His Church. A teenager who is having to figure out…well, everything. We’ve all been there, but yesterday’s miracle…that was a gift, a reminder that He’s got this! He’s still God. He loves each of us – even and especially through times of questioning and growing and learning who we are and what we believe. The many intercession prayers are not for nothing. There is Hope- His name is Jesus! Thanks You God for this miracle. Now…go remember and share your miracle!

Who do you say that I am?

He said to them, "but who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus said to him in reply, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father." -...

The Prayers God Always Answers

The Choice of Stewardship

The Choice of Stewardship
